Simple Granola
Using the formula of 725g dry ingredients to 200g of wet ingredients you can make almost any granola you like!!!
A couple of pointers though, 300g+ of rolled oats gives your granola a good base, after that it's all a matter of preference.
Adding the 2 tbsp of oil helps the granola cook evenly and using some liquid sweetener allows the sugar syrup combine well with the dry ingredients.
Lastly, if you would like more clusters in your granola just boil 50g more sugar syrup and combine, making sure not to over mix.

Prep: 5 minutes Cook: 16 minutes
Serves 8+
350g rolled oats 50g chia seeds 175g mixed nuts, chopped 75g pecans, chopped 75g dried cranberries 2 tbsp oil 2 tbsp maple syrup 100g honey 50g jaggery sugar | Preheat your oven to 160C (320F). Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. In a small pot, add all the wet ingredients plus the sugar, then bring to the boil on a high heat. Pour boiled mixture into the mixing bowl and stir, with a wooden spoon, to evenly coat the dry ingredients. Spread the mixture evenly between two baking trays and place your preheated oven. Bake for 16 minutes, removing from the oven and stirring every 4 minutes to ensure the granola does not burn and is evenly cooked. |
